Latin America is the region hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Poverty and extreme poverty in the region reached levels following the pandemic that have not been seen in over a decade. Despite the major impact of the pandemic, the economic outlook for Latin America and the Caribbean is expected to quickly improve.

*A devastating earthquake struck Haiti in August of 2021, and dozens of Compassion centers were damaged. Staff there are preparing to rebuild and minister to children who were affected by the earthquake. Learn more about partnering with Compassion Haiti.
