Food for a Baby and Mother

Baby Salome had a harrowing first 60 days of life. She and her twin sister, Ariana, were born premature and underweight in Colombia. It’s a common problem in impoverished areas, where many mothers struggle to get the nutrition and care they need during pregnancy. Salome’s sister went home after a week, but it took Salome 60 days to gain enough weight to go home with her mom, Marta.
