Sophonie always wanted to raise livestock. Her region in Haiti is well-suited to it. So, Sophonie was overjoyed when her Compassion center used the support of friends like you to help her family establish a small business breeding livestock. “I’ve always loved breeding, and it’s a joy for me to get started in it,” the 13-year-old says. The family now has a new source of income — and they’re just getting started. Sophonie already sees herself being the largest livestock owner in the region someday. “I dream of having lots of cattle, goats, chickens, pigs, and oxen,” she says.
