WHEN YOU GIVE, YOU HELP PROVIDE MORE SUCCESS STORIES LIKE THIS
Mary, a seven-year-old girl from Ghana, was born with a congenital heart defect called patent ductus arteriosus, which kept her from playing with friends or participating in many of the activities at her Compassion-assisted child development center. In fact, she struggled to attend the center at all and was frequently absent from school, often causing Mary to feel alone and isolated.
But because of donor commitment to helping child in desperate need, Mary has made a full recovery! On May 29, 2018, she underwent a life-saving operation and is now an active, healthy and happy young girl.
“I am so happy I was able to have the surgery,” says Mary, with a big smile on her face. “Now I don’t feel sick anymore. I can go to school just like my friends, and I can even run around and play sports with them too.” Thanks to the commitment of donors like you, Mary is looking forward to a future filled with hope and opportunity.
